Zheng-Zhi CHEN

Born in 1964
Bachelor, Master, and PhD students in the Department of Painting and Calligraphy Art, National Taiwan University of Arts

Chairman of the Taiwan Ink Painting Association, Chairman of Taiwan Art Study, and Executive Director of China Artists Association.

He is under the tutelage of master Nianzu Hu. As the inheritor of the LiShui school of painting, he has been practicing ink painting for more than 40 years. In addition to teaching the techniques, he specialises in changing substrates, media and auxiliries.

Using multiple techniques such as spraying, topping, flowing or mixed color on paper, to create an abstract and variable base. And the traditional chalking is then used to tidy up the whole, and the rich texture of the contemporary media is used to bring out a new look of traditional ink and wash landscapes.
